How We Research
Every guide on Comfortro starts with one question: will this product work in your workspace? For a desk or chair, that means your room, your body, the work you do and how you plan to use it.
Here is how we answer it.
1. We start with the person and the place
A large desk is the wrong choice for a narrow room. A chair with limited adjustment may not fit someone who needs a different seat height or support.
We check dimensions, weight limits, adjustment ranges, workspace and desk fit, and how a product connects with other gear. For accessories and office tech, we look at the devices, ports, mounting points or power needs involved. When space or compatibility may limit the choice, we say what to look for.
2. We compare specs and features
We look at the details the maker lists: materials, dimensions, adjustment options, weight capacity, power and connectivity, included parts and warranty terms.
Makers describe their products in their own words, so we name the brand for every claim. We also note which features matter for the use described in the guide.
3. We look at buyer feedback
We read what buyers report after using a product. We look for patterns, like desks that wobble, chair parts that wear out, difficult assembly, noisy motors or accessories that do not fit as expected.
One angry review doesn't sink a product. A pattern does.
4. We score each product
Our score weighs specs, features and buyer feedback against what you're shopping for. A desk that's right for a small home office may score lower in a guide for someone who needs a large work surface.
Scores spread out on purpose. A 10 is rare.
5. We keep pages up to date
Products change, and some disappear from stores. Makers sell close models under similar names, so we check each model name, its listed specifications and what comes in the box, and we only link new units.
We skip unknown brands with no track record and any product with a known recall. When we update a guide, the "Updated on" date at the top changes with it.
What our picks are not
Our picks are research, not hands-on tests. We don't claim to have used every product we cover.
Our guides offer general buying information, not medical or ergonomic care advice. For persistent pain or a health concern, talk with a qualified health professional.
